Is it really free?

Yes. YourAIVoice is free to use, with no account, no login and no cookies. You can make as many audio files as you like.

Why the one-time ~95 MB download?

Because the voices run privately on your own device rather than on our server, your browser downloads the open-source voice engine once (about 95 MB). Your browser then keeps it, so every visit after the first loads instantly and nothing needs to download again. On a slower connection the first setup can take a couple of minutes — it finishes on its own, and you can pick a voice while you wait.

Is my text private?

Yes. For every on-device voice, your text is turned into speech inside your browser and never reaches our server. The audio and captions stay in your browser's memory until you leave the page or make a new one — so download anything you want to keep. The one exception is the optional Arabic (UAE) voices, which use Microsoft Azure and send that text to Microsoft to create the audio; if you don't want your text to leave your device, use any of the other languages. Which languages and voices are there?

YourAIVoice offers English (US & UK), Hindi, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Telugu, with a range of male and female voices. The English, Hindi and European voices use the natural-sounding Kokoro engine on your device. Telugu uses the eSpeak NG engine (see below). Each voice card shows its name and whether it's an on-device or cloud voice.

Why does the Telugu voice sound robotic?

Telugu isn't available in the natural on-device engine, so it uses eSpeak NG — a free, fully private, on-device engine that pronounces Telugu correctly but with a synthetic, robotic tone. It's the only option today that is free, works on your device and keeps your text private. We're working on a more natural Telugu voice; until then, eSpeak gives you clear, correct Telugu you can download and use.

Can I use the audio commercially?

Yes. You may use the audio you create for personal and commercial projects. You are responsible for the text you enter and how you use the audio — please don't use AI voices to impersonate anyone or to mislead listeners. See the Terms.

Does it work offline? Can I install it?

Once the first-time setup has finished, the on-device voices work offline. You can also install YourAIVoice as an app: on most browsers use the Install button in the top bar; on iPhone/iPad, open the Share menu in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. The optional Arabic voices need an internet connection.

What are the caption (.srt) files?

Every time you generate audio we also create a matching .srt caption file — the subtitle format used by video editors and players. Download it alongside the MP3 to add synced captions to a video, or just to have a timed transcript.

What is Celebration mode?

Celebration mode turns a short message into a festive clip — a Birthday or Congratulations greeting set to music, in English, made on your device. Type the person's name or a short message, pick one of the two voices, and press Generate.

Can I add background music?

Yes. In Create-speech mode you can switch on background music, choose one of our built-in royalty-free tracks or upload your own, and set the volume and fade. It's mixed softly under the voice and looped to fit. If you upload your own track, make sure you have the right to use it.
