Offline & private
Text to speech that works offline and stays private
Most text-to-speech websites send your words to a server. YourAIVoice doesn't have to. Its voices run on your own device through your browser, which means you can install it as an app and generate speech with no internet connection at all — on a flight, in a classroom, anywhere. Your text stays on your device, there is no account, and the audio downloads straight to you as an MP3.
How on-device speech works
The first time you use YourAIVoice, your browser downloads the open-source voice engine once (about 95 MB) and keeps it. From then on, speech is generated right on your device — the text you type is turned into audio locally and never sent anywhere. That is what makes it both private and able to run with no connection.
Install as an app (PWA)
YourAIVoice is a progressive web app, so you can install it like a normal app. On most browsers, use the Install button in the top bar. On iPhone or iPad, open the Share menu in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. Once installed, it opens full-screen and the on-device voices work offline.
What leaves your device, and what doesn't
For the everyday voices — English, Hindi, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Telugu — nothing leaves your device. The only exception is the optional natural Telugu and Arabic voices, which run on Microsoft Azure and therefore need an internet connection and send that text to Microsoft. They are clearly labelled, so you always know which kind of voice you are using.
Download MP3 offline
Generating and downloading an MP3 works the same offline as online for the on-device voices, and you get the matching SRT captions too. Make what you need on the move, then download it to keep.
